The Sisters Of Mary

The Sisters of Mary are devoted to helping the poorest of the poor in Asia, Latin America, and Africa. The religious order was founded by Aloysius Schwartz, the priest of the poor. The Sisters have been operating charitable programs for more than fifty years serving children with the greatest need who have the greatest potential. In 6 countries there are 400 Sisters of Mary caring for over 21,000 children with the mission of helping them break free from a life of poverty. This is one day in the life of a Sister.

What was your life like before you´ve met the Sisters of Mary? (origin, circumstances, family etc.) 

Since my parents does not have money to send to school, they didn´t send me to school for about two years. Within these years, I dedicated to work in the farm together with my parents and to help my 2 elder brothers to study. I am the third child of seven. My parents are working hard yet our family does not improve economically. 

Which expectations/ impression did you have when you came to the school of the Sisters of Mary on the first day? 

My first day at the Sisters of Mary was full of emotion, having curiosity all throughout the compound. My heart was so happy having a new opportunity to study.   

What do/ did you like most about the Sisters of Mary? 

I like most here is the organization of everything. On how everything goes well. I like our beautiful garden and when all of us sing in the gymnasium. 

Which profession would you like to pursue one day? 

I would like get a career of business management. 

How do you imagine your life after graduating from school of the Sisters of Mary? 

I imagine myself as a graduate of boystown with a profession helping my family. Also, having my own company. 

What words would you like to address to the donors today? 

Many thanks to all of you our dear donors for this opportunity that I have, my studies are free, nothing to think of any payment to school matters. And how much I´m impress of your kind heart of helping each poor child from my country.
