The Sisters Of Mary

The Sisters of Mary are devoted to helping the poorest of the poor in Asia, Latin America, and Africa. The religious order was founded by Aloysius Schwartz, the priest of the poor. The Sisters have been operating charitable programs for more than fifty years serving children with the greatest need who have the greatest potential. In 6 countries there are 400 Sisters of Mary caring for over 21,000 children with the mission of helping them break free from a life of poverty. This is one day in the life of a Sister.

What was your life like before you´ve met the Sisters of Mary? (origin, circumstances, family etc.) 

Since young, my parents were separated. My mother had left us and my father have to work out of the country. I stay with my grand parents and my uncles, working with them in the farm, earning money under the heat of the sun. Leaving my grand mother made me so sad but to have this opportunity in the Sisters of Mary, gave me an inspiration to continue my hard life. 

 Which expectations/ impression did you have when you came to the school of the Sisters of Mary on the first day? 

My feeling was so joyful and so excited with the first sight I saw the big buildings and the also what kind of food we would receive and when are we going to play. 

 What do/ did you like most about the Sisters of Mary? 

The workshops had caught my attraction and also the football court. 

 Which profession would you like to pursue one day? 

I wanted to be one of the programmers of computers, knowing all the knowledge of computers. 

 How do you imagine your life after graduating from school of the Sisters of Mary? 

I imagine myself as a person with dignity, who deserves respect from many others and to have many friends from many different companies. 

 What words would you like to address to the donors today?
