The Sisters of Mary officially started operations at Biga in 1985. The Sisters also run a small medical clinic to support the healthcare needs of the girls and boys in Cavite, and to help the poorest in the nearby community. Thanks to the dedication of the Sisters these girls have confidence and hope for a bright future.

The girls in Biga receive three nutritious meals a day, full-time care and medical and health support. They sleep safely in their own bed at night in dormitories with new friends around them and can enjoy the comforts of a proper childhood.

The girls receive training in subjects such as computer system servicing, computer programming, graphic design, nursing, dressmaking, cooking and bookkeeping. The graduates secure work with local employers including Hitachi, Panasonic, Regan Industrial and Orbis Precision. Their time at school sets them up for a variety of careers. Many become bookkeepers, accountants or auditors, teachers, computer scientists, doctors and dentists.

All of this is only possible through the generosity of people like you. Every child deserves a good start in life and with your help we can continue to make this a reality.
