WHY TEXTBOOKS?
For our children, reading and literacy are not guaranteed and we strive to give them every opportunity to read and learn. School supplies and textbooks are a luxury in Tanzania, often acting as a barrier for the poor in receiving an education. Most of the girls in our Tanzania Girlstown come from homes where they cannot afford school supplies and books, and many from households where their parents are illiterate and cannot read to them.
Help us to give our children the best chance at a well-rounded education with access to quality curricula and textbooks. Textbooks are an essential part of any child’s education, they fire the imagination, equip them with language and provide insight into other worlds and people. In addition to this, it provides an essential tool for the children in our schools to learn English, multiplying their opportunities. Support our children by donating and supplying the schools with more textbooks to encourage and fuel their hope of education.
