OUR PROGRAMS IN THE PHILIPPINES

Our founder Father Al came to the Philippines in 1983 to receive the Ramon Magsaysay Award for International Understanding given for his outstanding services for the abandoned youth, the poor and the sick in Korea. At that occasion, he met His Eminence Jaime Cardinal Sin who invited him to establish his charity program in the Philippines.

In 1985, Father Al started working with two Korean Sisters in the Philippines by establishing the first Boystown and Girlstown Complex in the Archdiocese of Manila. In 1990, His Eminence Ricardo Cardinal Vidal invited Father Al to extend his program to Cebu.

The Adlas campus for boys is one of four in the Philippines that accommodate in total about 12,000 young boys and girls from the poorest of poor families.
