SÃO BERNARDO COMPLEX IN BRAZIL

Young students with their teachers

July 2016

Due to government regulations, the Sisters of Mary were unable to begin construction on our Boystown in Brazil. However, with the need being so great in this poverty-stricken area, the Sisters could not just walk away from the children they saw!

So in 2009 they developed an early-education program to include preschool and elementary aged children.

Pictured here in July 2016, are some of the facilities at our Sao Bernardo Complex. As well as just some of children who are benefitting from the determination and hard work of the Sisters of Mary. And of course, the generosity of our friends and benefactors!

Learn more about the children

The children at our schools come from the poorest of the poor. Each child has their own stories of what their life was before coming to our schools and how their lives are being transformed by the Sisters of Mary programs.  Read the moving stories of our children in their own words.

Meet Our Graduates

There are 160,000+  graduates from the Sisters of Mary Schools. Many of our graduates went on to live prosperous lives, helping their families and local communities. Read the inspiring stories of our graduates in their own words.
