Sister Yazmin, Sponsor a Sister

“Our children do not give up, they never give up, no matter how difficult the fight is, they keep going, they persevere because they trust God.”

I am a Mother Sister to girls in Girlstown, Villa de los Niños, in Chalco, Mexico. I have been living in the congregation for 10 years. I am of Mexican nationality from a humble but honored family. Due to economic needs at home and knowing the opportunities offered by the Villa de los Niños, I made the determination to help my parents in this regard. I attended Villa de los Niños myself. My family is a believer in matters of faith but not practicing, so it was here in the village where I received the sacraments of Christian initiation, I grew, developed and strengthened in the spiritual realm.

My favorite saint is Saint John Paul II, who often said to young people, “Do not be afraid, open your doors wide to Christ.” Currently I take care of the 5th year girls to whom I seek to teach them to be grateful for the opportunities that are given to them, to fight with courage and effort for that goal they want to achieve, and to give the best of themselves at all times and never give up, always trusting in God.

Everything is possible for those who have faith, because I know in whom I have put my trust. “I can do everything in Christ who strengthens me.”
