All are welcome to join us in praying a novena beginning August 6th to the 15th leading up to the feast of the Assumption. Our Chaplain, Fr. Dan Leary, will be leading us in reflection and prayer during these nine days, and lifting up all intentions during this time at a mass on the 15th.

Day 1 (August 6th)

Today’s Gospel: Matthew 17:1-9

Today’s Prayer:
O Blessed Virgin Mary, you were received into heaven by the angels and the saints as queen, as mother, and as friend. We welcome your glorious assumption as your birthday, your heavenly birthday.

In the light of hope, we look above and the heavens are open. In your petitions to the Heart of Jesus, please grant us today, the virtue of your profound humility – that like you, we may let the will of God reign in our lives. Today, I commend to your prayer and that of the children and Sisters of Mary: (Mention your request).

I surrender my heart to you, O Blessed Virgin, that the Heart of Jesus, the heart of Mary, and my heart may become one.

In the light of hope, we look above and the heavens are open. In your petitions to the Heart of Jesus, please grant us today, the virtue of your heroic patience – that like you, we may bear the uncertainty, trials and sorrows of life trusting in the providence of God.
