For the second year in a row, Jill Boragay, a high school senior
from the Sisters of Mary School in Cavite has been awarded
the Most Outstanding Athlete title.

She did it in 2007, and repeated this year because of her highly competitive athleticism. Jill is an exceptionally strong middle distance runner. Small in stature, she is extremely agile and has an overwhelming desire to win.

The Milo Little Olympics is a two day competition for primary and secondary school children in the Philippines.

In addition to the medals won by Jill Boragay, our girls athletic team from our Children’s Village in Cavite took home the first place trophy, followed closely by our boys team from Adlas, Silang as first runner-up.

Participation in running and other sports is great therapy for the deep emotional wounds the children have experienced as a result of living in severe poverty during their early childhood years.
