Typhoon Ondoy Update from the Philippines!!!

First of all, our children are safe and none of them were harmed. However, it rained so hard at Boystown that the water overflowed and forcefully broke through the concrete wall which surrounds our water treatment plant.

Our older boys braved the fierce wind and rain in order to clear a clogged drain, and that helped minimize the damage.

We will have to repair the damage to our water treatment plant immediately and we are praying that our friends will send extra gifts to cover this emergency expense.

Many people died in Manila, one hour away from us and many more are homeless and without food. So our children have all given up their snacks in order to help give food to those who are hungry.

We do not yet know the fate of some of the families of our children, and of course this is giving us a great deal of worry.
